EARDH Conference 2024
To all European Association of Registered Dental Hygienists (EARDH) Members and future Members;
The EARDH Executive Board was on the ball this year! Speakers for the 27th Conference are just about set. Usually we are scouting around like maniacs at the last minute attempting to find dental specialists who are willing to present… for minimal compensation that is! We are proud to announce that we have commitments from speakers to include, Lacy Walker, RDH, BS, CDA, MAADH, FAAOSH. Lacy is a registered dental hygienist, speaker, and content creator. Professor Dr. Joachim S. Hermann, from PHI (Professor Hermann Institute for Periodontology), will be presenting interesting information and case studies from his dental practice in Stuttgart on Friday afternoon. Once again, the dream team of Dr. Farzan Pouranfar, Prosthodontist and Dr. Dona Taherizadegan, Pedodontist will open the conference Continuing Education sessions on Friday morning. Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be confined to a prison and sleep in a prison cell? And to eat in a restaurant named „Bread and Water“? Here is your chance to try it out! Of course, with all the modern day conveniences. The Conference will be conducted at the HOTEL LIBERTY, in Offenburg, Germany on October 4 and 5, 2024, a one-time prison constructed in the 19th century and designed after the Eastern State Penetentiary in Philadelphia. Cramped, dark, and menacing! Is it really possible to create something from this that is worthy of the name "LIBERTY", where guests of a designer hotel feel comfortable? A feel-good atmosphere? There are hotel rooms reserved for the EARDH under the Code: EARDH until July 3, 2024. You can reserve a room by using the Hotel Reservation Form and sending it via E-Mail to: events@hotel-liberty.de These are special room prices for the conference and includes a continental breakfast. You have the choice between an executive or classic room category. Outside parking is available for 10,00€ per day/night. With your room keycard and cover you are entitled to use the Leisure and Wellnessbath Stegermatt, only a 2 minute walk through the Park away from the hotel, free for 3 hours. We hope to see many new members, along with our current members at this fun-filled and informative conference. If you know of an RDH that is new in your area, please inform them of the EARDH and see that they receive information about the conference. RDHs, Dentists, and other dental staff members are welcome to attend. It is important for them to be aware that conference Continuing Education Credits are awarded by the American Academy of Dental Hygiene (AADH).
The cost for the conference is 335.00€ for paid 2024 members and 395.00€ for the conference including the 2024 EARDH membership fee. The price for attendees not wishing to join the EARDH is 550.00€. These prices include all coffee breaks and the lunches on Friday and Saturday (all drinks at meals to be paid for by the attendee).
The Conference will begin on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. (Registration from 8-8:30 a.m.) and end on Saturday, October 5 at approximately 4 p.m. Deadline for registration, without having to pay a late registration charge, is August 1, 2024. (Price for Late Registration for the Conference and Membership after August 4, 2024 is 495,00€.)
